Chocolate Irish Stout


Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) chocolate vodka
1 Tablespoon (1/2 ounce) lemon juice
1 Tablespoon (1/2 ounce) Simple Syrup
Ice cubes
1/2 cup dry stout, such as Guinness, chilled
Lemon twist (optional)

Directions:
In a cocktail shaker combine vodka, lemon juice, and Simple Syrup. 
Add ice cubes; cover and shake until very cold. 
Strain liquid into a chilled glass. 
Top with stout. 
If desired, garnish with a lemon twist.

Simple Syrup
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

In a small saucepan combine sugar and water. 
Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. 
(The syrup is done when it is completely clear and the surface is covered with bubbles.) 
Remove from heat and cool. 
Store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
